You can trim or shape around the face or length. Layered hair freshly cut might lie too blunt after treatment. Hair clips should not be used right after treatment. You can go through a haircut and trim off any uneven ends if needed.

No, not until 3 days after treatment.

Yes, you can. We recommend using cosmetic oil on your hair to protect the treatment from water chemicals or natural elements that could strip it away.

<summary>What shampoo can I use after doing the treatment?</summary>

We recommend our shampoo because it does not contain sodium chloride (sulfate-free). All shampoo and conditioner should not contain sodium chloride.

Yes, you can do the treatment over any kind of straightening.

<summary>Can I wash my hair after the treatment, and when?</summary>

Wait 72 hours after the Traditional Monaluce treatment, and wait 2 days after the Mild treatment before washing.

Blow dry the hair as quickly as possible.

Not anything tight or restricting. Loose scarves or silk headbands are okay.

Yes. We recommend you color the hair first. If done the same day, do not use conditioner after shampooing out the color.

Wait 2 weeks after the Keratin treatment to apply any color. For hair with treatment, use ammonia-free color.

<summary>Can I apply bleach to my hair after the Keratin treatment?</summary>

No, do not apply bleach to Keratin-treated hair. Bleach may be applied on re-growth only. All highlights should be completed before the Keratin treatment is applied.

Yes, you can do the treatment over any previously relaxed hair.

Yes, but it won’t last as long as previously colored or chemically treated hair: 2 months on virgin hair and 3-4 on any other type of hair.

Depending on curl type and strength of treatment, curl or wave starts to come back sooner on virgin hair, while processed hair will gradually return. The Monaluce treatment will condition and eliminate frizz, and hair will smooth out quickly when flat ironed or blown dry, even after curl or wave has returned.
